Dr. King earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine. He completed internship training at several UBC-affiliated hospitals, followed by an ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University / St. Luke’s Medical Center in Cleveland.

During his residency, Dr. King was selected as Chief Resident, reflecting his leadership, surgical skill, and academic achievement. He later completed an advanced fellowship in vision correction surgery at the University of South Florida Eye Institute, where he refined his expertise in refractive outcomes and lens-based surgical techniques.
